Regular visits to see the professIONals
Visiting the orthodontist about every four to eight weeks is a very important part of your orthodontic treatment. Our team will work with you as much as possible to ensure your appointments are convenient.
We understand that life happens! If you’re running late or need to reschedule, please let us know and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. When you’re ready to schedule your first appointment, contact our practice and our friendly scheduling coordinator will assist you.
It is also very important that you continue to visit your family or pediatric dentist once every six months for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups, even during your orthodontic treatment. Sometimes your care is dependent on a team approach to your oral health, and we will work closely and communicate with your dentist to ensure that you have the most beautiful result when your orthodontic treatment is complete.
InnovatION & Technology
When you visit ION Orthodontics, you will find our office to be modern and well equipped with state-of-the-art technology. This is because Dr. Rad is kind of a nerd, and she knows that utilizing the latest technology makes our patients' experience more comfortable and efficient each time they pay us a visit.
The Itero Scanner gives us the ability to take digital impressions of your teeth. This can eliminate the need for the uncomfortable, goopy impressions. Yuck!
This innovative technology works seamlessly with Invisalign to aid the diagnostic process, assist with treatment planning and even simulate treatment. The Itero Scanner not only makes procedures more comfortable for our patients, but it also helps them make educated decisions about the treatment that is right for their needs. It allows patients to receive their aligners 50% faster, with seven times fewer fit issues than traditional impressions. Better fitting aligners means straighter teeth in a shorter amount of time.
The Itero Scanner is not just for Invisalign patients! ION Orthodontics can also fabricate expanders, appliances, and retainers without the need for messy and uncomfortable impressions.
Our goal at ION Orthodontics is to make your experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. Dr. Rad has invested in technology that will make a difference in your overall orthodontic experience and enhance your results.
We accept most major insurance plans as well as Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Since ION Orthodontics is an in-network/preferred provider for many of the major insurance companies, you can maximize your insurance benefits more easily. As a service to our patients, we are happy to verify your orthodontic benefits and process your insurance forms for you.
The cost of your orthodontic treatment will vary depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. Our staff will discuss with you the cost of your treatment and available payment plan options, so that you may make the best choice for yourself and your smile. We will work with you to create a payment plan that fits your budget and you will know what to expect before beginning treatment.
