Metal Braces
For the BOLD patient who isn't afraid to make a statement.
Traditional metal braces are the most common type of braces and are more comfortable today than ever before. Dr. Rad can straighten your teeth using metal brackets, made of high-grade stainless steel, and wires. With metal braces, you have the option of adding colored elastics (rubber bands) for a more unique and colorful smile. The colored elastics are usually switched out at every appointment according to patient preference.

Ceramic braces
A more discreet, esthetic optION
Designed the same as metal brackets, tooth-colored braces do the same work aligning your teeth and correcting your bite, just with more discretion. This esthetic option is very appealing for adults or teens who may not be candidates for Invisalign but still have cosmetic concerns. Ceramic braces are made of clear ceramic materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. Ceramic braces tend to be used more on upper front teeth than on lower teeth. Many patients decide to still add fun colors to this more esthetic option.

Invisalign Life Uninterrupted

Is Invisalign for you?
Clear aligners for Adults, Teens, & everyone in be(tween)

EASIER BRUSHING AND FLOSSING
Removable aligners offer you the amazing benefit of being able to brush and floss your teeth without food getting stuck to your braces or having to thread floss around a wire. This means you'll have reduced chances of cavities and staining.
TREATMENT ON YOUR OWN TERMS
Because Invisalign uses trays, you can actually remove your treatment if absolutely required for things like important social events or pictures. However, remember it only works if you wear it!

DISCREET TREATMENT
With Invisalign, it’s increasingly hard for people to tell if you are wearing trays. They are almost invisible and are great for people who prefer to be more discreet about their treatment.

GREATER COMFORT
Due to technological advances with Invisalign, there will be less discomfort for you and no pokey wires or broken brackets! This also means minimal urgent trips to see Dr. Rad. Click here for more information about Invisalign.

CAN'T I GET INVISALIGN ANYWHERE?
All offices do not offer the same level of care with Invisalign. Invisalign is not a consumer product and still requires an experienced orthodontist to oversee your treatment!
AM I A CANDIDATE?
Our ability to treat difficult cases with Invisalign is getting better and better over time. Maybe in the past you were told that you were not a candidate. Dr. Rad thinks it’s time to check again.
Phase 1 treatment
Not indicated for everyone, but very important if detected early
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that your child is evaluated by age 7. Early detection of some orthodontic problems is important in order to attempt to avoid more difficult treatment later.
Phase 1 treatment is aimed at intercepting a moderate or severe orthodontic problem early in order to reduce the severity or eliminate it. These problems most often include crossbites (of the front or back teeth) and crowding. Phase I treatment takes advantage of the early growth spurt and turns a difficult orthodontic problem into a more manageable one. This can also greatly help self-confidence in a young child who is being teased or embarrassed by the position of his or her teeth. This phase of treatment usually begins while the permanent front teeth are erupting (typically around the age of 8-9). We usually recommend this treatment when waiting could cause orthodontic problems or social problems to worsen. When possible, Dr. Rad usually prefers to wait until most, if not all, of their permanent teeth erupt, to begin their orthodontic treatment.

Retainers
Retent-ION is by far THE MOST important part of orthodontic treatment. Whether you just finished your orthodontic treatment or even if you've never had braces, retainers can help to maintain your smile so that your teeth do not shift over time. You will often hear Dr. Rad say the following quotes:
Retainers are night time for a lifetime.
Put your retainers in your case or in your face...in no other place.
